The Washington Demon Tee up this week to start their season.

The boys will open up at Washington tomorrow against Mt. Pleasant, the first scheduled meet, with none canceled due to the weather.

Head coach Mark Berhow said this meet is really just the warm up, and he wants his kids to know that it’s the end of the season that you want to be your best.

“I told them what we’re really headed toward is the end of the season, so all of the meets that we work toward or that we play in are trying to help us get better for that point,” Berhow said. “We’re looking forward to Mt. Pleasant, we’re playing 10 guys, and Mt. Pleasant is brining up nine, so we’ll have a JV Squad as well that hasn’t had a chance to play, so all of our guys will get a chance to play tomorrow, and we’ll evaluate after that.”

The meet tomorrow at Washington begins at 4.

For the girls they will pick up and travel down to Keokuk for a meet. Washington does return quite a few good players this year, and they will also start their season on time with their schedule with no canceled meets tomorrow.

The Girls play at Keokuk at 9 AM.
