The Columbus Junction boy’s track and field team was at the West Burlington meet on Saturday.

The Wildcats ran in the boy’s, B category. Here are their top finishes.

Mauricio Ramierez finished third in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.35.

Efrain Barajas was third in the 3200 meter run with a time of 11:31.20

They were 4×400 meter relay champions with the team of Ricardo Roman, Mark Ramierez, DJ Beechum and Angel Rodriguez, with a time of 3:54.63.

They were second in the 4×100 meter relay and 4×200 meter relay with a team of Mauricio Ramierez, Ricky Rivers, Roman and Esteban Gutierrez, with a time of 45.6 in the 4×100 and 1:35.79 in the 4×200.

Angel Rodriguez was third in the high jump at 5’8”.

Mark Ramierez was third in the discus with a toss of 117’7.5”.

Rivers and Mauricio Ramirez went first and second in the long jump, with leaps at 19’2.5” and 19’2” respectively.

In the shot put Mark Ramierz and Jeremy Fox went second and third with throws at 41’4” and 37’9.75” respectively.

Columbus finished second in the boys meet with 105 points, while West Burlington Notre Dame won the meet with 206.
