Washington, Columbus Junction and Mid-Prairie all ran in the afternoon session at the state track and field meet yesterday, and placed in some events.

Sammy Ellingson got third in the high jump for Washington clearing 5’4”, while Lauren Kimball finished 10th at 5’ even, and in the long jump for Columbus Junction, for the girls Heaven Chandler was eighth with a jump of 16’3.75”, while her teammate Becca Davisson was 10th with a jump of 16’2.5”, and the Wildcat boy jumper, Ricky Rivers was 19th with a jump of 19’7.25”.

In the running events, The Washington boy’s shuttle hurdle was 21st with a time of 1:03.59, in the 100 meter dash Kattie Redlinger was 10th with a time of 13.12, while Meghan was 13th at 13.19, in 3A girl’s Macy Marek was 19th with a time of 13.53. On the boy’s side Ryan Hoffman for Mid-Prairie qualified fifth for the finals in a time of 11.39.

In the girl’s 4×800 Columbus finished 23 with a time of 10:29.76, while Mid-Prairie was sixth with a time of 10:04.05, on the boy’s side Mid-Prairie was 15th in a time of 8:25.44.

Moving into the 200 meter dash prelims for 2A girl’s, Kattie Redlinger finished 17th in 27.08 while Ryan Hoffman for the boy’s qualified 4th in 22.75. In the 400 for Washington Mariah Reighard was 22nd in 1:02.64, and for Hoffman of Mid-Prairie, he was fourth in 50.02.

Finally the final event of the day was the girl’s shuttle, and in 2A Columbus finished 17th in 1:10.98, while in 3A Washington was 14th in 1:10.25.
