A Progressive Agriculture Safety Day is being hosted by the Washington County Extension Office to highlight a variety of safety topics. Some of the topics include stranger danger, animal safety, disability awareness, grain safety, sun safety and equipment safety. Participants will be able to test their knowledge of farm safety, reaction times in an emergency and learn how to be safer in their communities.
This will take place Friday, June 7th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Washington County fairgrounds. Youth who have completed kindergarten through third grade are encouraged to attend and there is a fee of $10, which provides a t-shirt, snacks, and safety information. Registrations are due June 1st.
