The Mid-Prairie School Board unanimously approved the hiring of two principals at their meeting Monday. According to School Board President Jim Hussey, Bill Poock has been hired as principal of Wellman Elementary and Theresa Beenblossom as principal of Kalona and Washington Township Elementary School’s.

Retirements created the openings at Wellman and Washington Township, while the position at Kalona Elementary needed to be filled after it was announced Jim Cayton would take the district’s high school principal job.
