The Washington City Council elected to table the proposed garbage contract extension to its May 22nd meeting. A proposal for a two year extension with Luke Waste Management for $300,802 was presented. The current contract expires June 30 of this year. Councilman Shellmyer expressed a want for a bid letting process and the council decided to wait for a full council, due to the fact that two members were absent from Wednesday’s meeting.
