The Iowa Farm Service Agency has announced that it will conduct a general sign-up for a four-week Conservation Reserve Program or CRP. It begins May 20th and ends on June 14th. This program helps with erosion control, improves water quality and can expand wildlife habitat.

According to the USDA, approximately 1.5 million acres of CRP can be found in iowa and 27 milliion acres are enrolled nationwide. More information about this volunteer program can be found online at fsa.usda.gov.
