Changes have been made to the county’s fireworks permit. The revised permit was approved at Tuesday’s Washington County Board of Supervisors meeting. The updates include language that protects the county from liability with liability coverage at a minimum of $300,000. Also, if roads need to be closed for the fireworks display, the road department must be contacted at least two business days prior. And it is the applicant’s responsibility to know if a burn ban is in effect.
