The Golden Hawk boy’s and girl’s track and field teams went to Durant yesterday for the Cedar Valley Conference track and field meet.

The girls came away with second place, with 117.5 points. West Branch was first with 134 points.

The girl’s team had conference champions in the 4×200 meter relay with the team of Lexi Duwa, Meghan Redlinger, Faithe Garza and Kattie Redlinger in a time of 1:49.92, Mallory McArtor won the 800 in a time of 2:27.65, and the girls won the 4×100 meter relay with the same girls as the 4×200 and a time of 51.22.

The boys finished sixth overall with 65 points, while Iowa City Regina won the meet with 137.

Conference Champions for the boys were the 4×800 meter relay with Ty Feigenspan, Evan Wild, Zeb Schwartz and Jake O’Donnell, in a time of 8:32.18, and the Distance medley with Colin Weber, Jacob Adrian, Ryan Hoffman and Jack Draper, in a time of 3:46.24.

Mid-Prairie will now gear up for the district meet on Thursday.
