Results from a survey conducted in Kalona show support for a joint building project with Mid-Prairie School District. Ryan Schlabaugh, city administrator, says over the next few months, he’ll be working with Mid-Prairie officials and their facility committee and Kalona’s Facility Needs Committee. Next week they’ll begin discussing what the building would include, to meet both parties needs. He explains the goal is to have preliminary plans and cost estimates ready by the next fiscal year, which starts July 1st.
