The Mid-Prairie girl’s golf team will golf the final Cedar Valley Conference Championship today at the Muscatine Municipal Golf Course.

The Golden Hawks average a 422 as a team for 18.

For the other teams in the conference, Durant is averaging a 430 for 18, west Branch is at 415, Regina is at 430, Tipton averages a 468, Wilton has a 434 and North Cedar averages a 539 for 18. West Liberty only has the averages for nine holes, at 214.

Mid-Prairie girl’s head coach Tracy McArtor said he would like to win this final conference meet, and be able to have this trophy in the school.

“The kids and I have been talking about it, it is kind of a bitter sweet ending to the Cedar Valley Conference, we change next year, we have some extra teams coming in, and I’m not real sure how that’s going to play out, but I told them this is one that you would kind of like to have,” McArtor said. “The girls team when I started, we were able to win the last Eastern Iowa Hawkeye conference a few years back, and I told them that it would be kind of neat to be able to go out there and come away with a win today and take home that last Cedar Valley Conference Tournament as well.”

Mid-Prairie tee’s off at 11:30 today.
