Mid-Prairie Girl’s Soccer Takes West Liberty Tournament

The Mid-Prairie girl’s soccer team came away with the West Liberty soccer tournament this weekend.

The Golden Hawks started with Clinton, and tied, but got the win in the second game, getting a goals from Kattie Redlinger and Ali Riggan to take that game 2-1.

Mid-Prairie moved on to the championship match to face Clinton again, and almost was tied again, but with 1:49 left in regulation Meghan Redlinger got tripped in the box, and Kattie Redlinger took a penalty that she converted on for the games only score winning 1-0.

The Golden Hawks will now play Tuesday, when they travel up to visit rival Iowa City Regina.
