Iowa’s primary nesting season begins on May 15th and ends on August 1st and during this time the Iowa Farm Service Agency reminds participants in the Conservation Reserve Program, or CRP, to schedule maintenance and management activities outside of the primary nesting season. Participants may contact the county FSA for inquiries, any maintenance done on CRP acres during nesting season could ultimately result in contract termination.
An informational meeting about CRP and how to sign up will be held in Sigourney at the library on Thursday, May 23 beginning at 6 p.m.
