An anonymous complaint concerning possible safety or health hazards at the Washington WIC Clinic was received by OSHA, the Iowa Occupational Safety and Health Act, Division of Labor Services. The complaint alleges that formaldehyde is posing a health risk, which is in the second floor of the old library. Washington County Public Health Administrator Danielle Pettit-Majewski says she was informed of this by OSHA. At this time public health has done a walk through and has ordered an air quality test, which will be conducted on May 29th.

Ultimately, Pettit-Majewski hopes to have all of the public health services under one roof in an accessible, safe building.
