Preparations for Ridiculous Day are underway. The Washington square will be busy Saturday, June 1st, with events from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. including a Superhero and Princess contest, a duct tape contest and a parade at 2 p.m. Dean Kurtz who is helping organize the day says that the ducks in the fountain, complete with divers in full dress, will begin at 11:30 a.m.

According to the Chamber of Commerce, Washington is home to the state’s oldest Ridiculous Day, with downtown retailers offering bargains.
