The Iowa River is above flood stage in multiple locations as of 11 a.m. today. The Iowa River near Lone Tree is at 17.4 feet, flood stage there is 15 feet. The Iowa River at Columbus Junction is at 22 feet and flood stage there is 19 feet. Also, the Iowa River at Wapello is nearly 5 feet above flood stage – it is at 24.6 feet and the flood stage is 20 feet.
The water level has dropped slightly in the English River at Kalona; water is at 18.25 feet with flood stage there set at 14 feet.
The Skunk River is also above flood stage in many areas, including the North Skunk River near Sigourney, which is more than 8 feet above flood stage at 24.12 feet, with flood stage there being 16 feet.
