As the fishing improves with the weather, now’s the time to get your license.Department of Natural Resources Fisheries Biologist Chad Dolan says anyone 16 or older will need a license to fish on public water. He says landowners with private lakes can fish without a license, but anyone outside the immediate family will need one. Resident fishing licenses costs around $19.
