Sigourney School District has found a replacement superintendent to serve temporarily. Prompted by current superintendent Benita Gonzalaz taking a position in another district, the school board has hired Craig Scott to fill in during the 2013-2014 school year. According to Sigourney School Board Chairman Bill Rees, it was too late to begin a search for a permanent superintendent. He says that search will most likely begin late this fall. Scott is retired, and was most recently superintendent at Chariton School District.
