The Southeast Iowa Superconference will hold their boy’s conference golf meet today if the weather holds out.

The meet will be at Shaeffer golf course in Fort Madison, starting at 9:30 this morning.

Columbus Junction is leading the way for an average 18 hole team score with 345, with Winfield Mt. Union behind them with 356. Lone Tree, IMS and Mediapolis will be there, but both only have posted their best 9 hole average with Mediapolis having 192.57 and Lone Tree at 220.83, and IMS at 234.

Wapello is shooting 187 for an average team nine and L-M is at 186.33.

Columbus Junction head coach Tony Simmons said his team is looking to repeat their championship performance from last year.

“We have a nice bunch of kids that want to play golf, and I think their goal is to win it, but definitely we want to get a good feeling and be ready for sectionals which will be next week,” Simmons said. “So we have some high aspirations.”

Today’s meet begins at 9:30 in Ft. Madison.
