This week the Washington Soil and Water Conservation District is encouraging people to think about personal responsibility and being a good steward to natural resources during is annual Stewardship Week celebration. The district provided more than 115 fifth graders in the county with a free Norway spruce tree seedling for the students to plant with their parents. Materials about watersheds were also handed out to the students, which highlighted the importance of clean water.
