The reconstruction of a stretch of highway in Louisa County is included in the draft Fiscal Year 2014-2018 Iowa Transportation Improvement Program. The Iowa Department of Transportation presented the draft to the Iowa Transportation Commission yesterday. The program’s objective is to modernize Iowa’s existing highway system and add enhanced safety features. Work on U.S. 61 in Louisa County from south of Iowa 92 to Muscatine County would include repaving the highway and erosion control.
The Commission will consider approving the program at its meeting on June 11th in Council Bluffs.
