The Washington Demon boy’s golf team golfed at the Southeast Conference golf meet yesterday, and finished second.

The Demons shot a 322 as a team, and finished five strokes behind conference champions Fairfield.

Washington had two all-conference players with Dillon de Perrot who shot a 79 to finish fifth, and Connor Davey who shot an 80 to tie for sixth, which put him into a playoff, which he won on the second hole with a birdie.

Demon head coach Mark Berhow said he thought his team played well, and was excited about his two all-conference golfers.

“It’s really great for two of our guys to end up being all-conference and it is really great Conner to be in that situation, to really play well in the last meet, and for Dillon as well, he has played excellent golf in his career, and for him to end all-conference was a great opportunity for him,” Berhow said. “Overall we played really well, Fairfield ended up beating us by five, but overall I feel good about our chances at the sectional meet on Thursday.”

Washington will have a short turn around, as they will play at Saddleback Golf Course on Thursday for the sectional meet to make it to districts.
