Fatal Wreck in Western Washington County Wednesday

Air Care lands at yesterday afternoon's wreck on 250th.

At approximately 12:45 Wednesday afternoon local authorities responded to an accident involving one vehicle on 250th, Old 92,  west of Elm in western Washington County. The vehicle, driven by 38-year-old James Matthew Wehr of rural West Chester, struck a bridge and enterd the ditch. The road was closed for some time while emergency personnel worked at the scene.

Arriving at the scene were Keota Fire and First Responders, Washington County Ambulance and Rescue, county roads department, and Aircare Units.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. the coroner was requested; Wehr was killed as a result of the wreck. The cause of the wreck has yet to be determined or released.
