Multiple concepts of roads and plats of the proposed industrial park were presented and discussed at Wednesday’s special session meeting of the Washington City Council. The industrial park is near Highway 1, southwest of Washington, near the waste water treatment plant. City Administrator Brent Hinson explained that half the cost of the road may be covered by a State Rise Grant, approximately $250,000 would be covered by the grant. The council provided feedback and seemed to be in support of a round-about to help reduce traffic speed near the high school. A new concept with the compiled ideas will be presented at a future council meeting.
