Demon Baseball Hosts School Rival Mt. Pleasant on KCII

The Demon baseball team tries to stay perfect again tonight, as they host school rival Mt. Pleasant.

Washington is 5-0 and is hitting .311 as a team at the plate, which shows in their score, winning four out of their five games by two runs or more.

Jacob Green is the lead bat for Washington with a .471 average, three doubles and eight RBI’s, he leads his team in slugging as well with a team high .647, next closest is Walker Breard with a .500.

The pitching for Washington may be the ace in the hole for them this year, with a team ERA of .42, 35 strikeouts and holding opponents to hitting just .130. Every Washington pitcher has helped to this success, but none more than Elijah Wood in one start and four appearances and 12 innings pitched, he has racked up a 2-0 record, three saves, a zero ERA, just five walks and 21 strikeouts, while holding opponents to hitting .048.
