Sammy Ellingson still has the best average with a .500, but Ashley Rausch continues her stellar offensive season with a .394 and 14 RBI’s with a homerun.

Pitching, Washington’s ERA has moved up to a 2.03, and allowing opponents to hit .222 off of them. Maddie Bohr is still undefeated at 3-0 with a 1.52 ERA, while Rausch is 4-3 with a 2.52 ERA.

Demon head coach Angie Shrader said she doesn’t know much about West Branch, but that it is a team that can surprise you.

“Two years ago they beat us a home, really kind of took it to us, we went down there last year and kind of returned the favor, I believe we ended up winning that game by 10, and I know Joni Erwin had a grand slam home run, so it’s a team that we need to show and we need to play, and like I talked to the kids about, we need to make sure that we are playing our game and not playing either our opponents game or to their level,” Shrader said.

Washington and West Branch play tonight at Washington with first pitch at 7:30, and you can hear this can right here on AM and FM KCII with pregame at 7 and first pitch at 7:30. The one to count on for today’s local sports coverage is AM and FM KCII.
