The Washington Demon softball team is coming off a good tournament at Muscatine that they went 3-1 in, losing the championship game to Muscatine 9-4.

Tonight they will host Keokuk, a conference team they split with earlier in the year that they need to sweep tonight to make sure they stay right with Fairfield in the conference race.

The Demons are 17-7 and hitting .356 as a team, Kaitlin Buchholz leads the team at the plate with a .500 average, 30 RBI’s and two homeruns on the year. Ashley Rausch is hitting .423 with 30 RBI’s as well, and Maddie Bohr is hitting .457 at lead off.

On the pitching staff Rausch and Bohr have a combined ERA of 2.17 and opponents are hitting .228 off of them.

On the Keokuk side they are 12-11 this year and are hitting .266. Their leading hitter is Chelsea Deyo with a .360 average and 11 RBI’s

Pitching wise Taylor Lemon is the leading arm with 34 K’s and opponents are hitting .285 off of her.
