The Washington Demon baseball team plays a double header against Ft. Madison tonight. The Demons played and beat Mid-Prairie earlier in the week, winning 6-3.

Washington is hitting .290 as a team and has 39 runs on the year. Walker Breard is the man with the big bat right now, hitting .458, slugging .750 and has six RBI’s along with the teams lone homerun on the year.
Jacob Green continues to be the RBI leader, with 12.

On the pitching side of things, The Demons have a combined ERA of 1.69, and an opponents batting average of .154. Weidman threw earlier this week which means he will more than likely be out against Ft. Madison. Washington will look to their other starters in Tanner Knupp who is 2-0 with a 4.20 ERA, and Elijah Wood who is 2-0 with a 0 ERA, 26 strikeouts and opponents hit just .055 off of him.

Ft. Madison is 5-6 and hitting .296. Their best bat is Jacob Riley with a .423 average and eight RBI’s. Pitching wise the Bloodhounds have used 11 pitchers this year, with Jordan Brecount being a leader with a 2-0 record, 0 ERA in seven innings pitched and eight strikeouts, and Collin Eaves with an 0-3 record in 9 2/3 innings pitched, 1.45 ERA and eight strikeouts.
