The Mid-Prairie girls soccer team eliminated Fairfield from the second round of regional soccer Friday night with an impressive 11-2 win. Mid-Prairie wasted little time in getting on the board as Kira Kirkove found the back of the net in the third minute. Ali Riggan scored just 60 seconds later to make it 2-0 Golden Hawks. Meghan Redlinger tallied her first goal in the 10th minute to make it 3-0, and wasted no time following that up with goal number two one minute later. Riggan notched her second goal of the night in the 12th minute and Redlinger capped a first half hat trick with her third goal in the 37th minute making it 6-2 Golden Hawks
at the break.

The second half was more of the same with Redlinger scoring her fourth of the night in the first minute. Kattie Redlinger joined in, knocking one past the goalie in the 46th minute to run the score to 8-2. Meghan struck again for her 5th score of the night in the 55th minute making it 9-2. Emma Lappe got in the scorebook with a 58th minute goal and Meghan Redlinger made it a six pack of goals on the night with the final score in the 71st minute. With the win Mid-Prairie is now 11-5-1 on the season and rolls into the regional final against #4 Iowa City Regina who was a 10-0 winner over Burlington Notre Dame Friday night. The Regals and Hawks squared off once this year with Regina scoring a 9-5 win. That regional final will be played Monday night
