Next week, a group will begin tearing out the gym floor to make way for the new one at Keota High School.  According to Jerry Sheetz with the Keota Booster Club, they’ll start next Friday and should be finished in a couple of weeks.

The installation of the new floor is scheduled for July. He adds that they’d like to have it done before a volleyball tournament being held in late August.
The Booster Club has money saved and plans to sell pieces of the gym floor to offset the cost of the project. A Washington County Riverboat grant will cover around 50% of the $38,000 cost.
