As the school year comes to a close, teachers and faculty heading into retirement are being recognized. At Monday’s Mid-Prairie School Board Meeting, teacher associate at Kalona Elementary, Laura Miller, will be honored for her nearly 30 years with the district. School Board President Jim Hussey says they’ll go over what she’s done at the district and her impact. Also a retirement open house for Washington Township and Wellman Elementary Principal Evan Parrott is taking place tomorrow at the Wellman Y.  He’s been with the district for 12 years.
