The 20-7 Mid-Prairie softball team host Wilton tonight in a conference game.

Mid-Prairie is coming off a four game winning streak, including a 12-0 win over Fairfield, and an 8-7 win over Dallas Center-Grimes who pitched Paige Lowery in the game. Lowery was the player that threw a no hitter against Washington into the final inning at state, and throws a pitch upwards to 70 miles per hour.

The Golden Hawks have a team average of .326, and are led by Felicia Schulty who has a .522 average, 14 RBI’s and three homeruns.

Olivia Lugar is the main arm for Mid-Prairie with a 2.00 ERA, 41 K’s and opponents are hitting .292 off of her, but the defense backs her up well.

Wilton is 9-12 this season and they are hitting .287 as a team. Their top hitters are Jen Ward with a .433 average and 15 RBI’s and Megan Kublick with a .412 average and 16 RBI’s with four homers.

On the pitching side Karlie Broders does the bulk of the work with a 4.50 ERA, 78 strikeouts to 52 walks and opponents hit .264 off of her.
