Richmond BBQ Picnic Tomorrow

Posted: Friday, June 21st, 2013 at 6:21 am

The newly refurbished bandstand in Richmond’s central park will be put to good use this weekend. A group of community members have organized the first Richmond BBQ Picnic, beginning tomorrow afternoon at 4, with Richland native John Nelson performing old time country music from 6 to 8pm. According to one of the organizers, Tom Duwa, they hope to make this an annual event.

The BBQ beef and pork will be provided. Those who attend are asked to bring a covered dish to share. Bringing a lawn chair, beverage and bug spray is also recommended.

If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the picnic will be moved to the Am Vets Club.
