A program that helps swine transporters, producers and handlers understand how to handle and transport pigs and the potential impacts on pig well-being or pork quality is being held on June 25th. The Transport Quality Assurance program certifies individuals to move, handle and transport pigs. The certification training will be offered from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Iowa County Extension Office in Williamsburg with a fee of $25. The certification is good for three years.
