Three area senior 4-H’ers will be representing Washington County at the Iowa State Fair this year. Maddie Hora of the Jackson Jets will represent Washington County in the Clothing Selection category, Kaycee Miller of the Limecreek Limelights 4-H Club will represent in the Fashion Revue (constructed garment) category and Hannah Van Roekel of the Limecreek Limelights in the $15 Challenge. The State Fair Awardrobe Clothing Event will be held in Ames on August 15.

The top winners in the Intermediate age division for $15 Challenge was Jacee Stapp, an independent 4-H member, with a purple and Baylee Stalder of the Prairie Pride with a lavender. In the Fashion Revue category, Stapp also received a purple for a skirt she made out of a curtain. Katie Palmer of the Limecreek Limelights, received a purple in Clothing Selection and Emily Hora of the Jackson Jets received a lavender. Stapp, Palmer and Stalder will be representing Washington County at the Intermediate Clothing Event on August 2 at the Coralville Public Library.

In total, 20 4-H’ers and 12 Clover Kids participated in the Washington County Clothing Event last week at the Washington County Extension Office.
