City Administrator Brent Hinson briefed the Washington City Council at their meeting last night regarding the progress of the investigation into inflow and infiltration issues. He stated that it was discovered that near Taylor and 11th roots were blocking the pipe in six locations and could contribute to issues on Tyler and 9th. Crews will be removing the roots as soon as possible. Also, it was found that a gas line had bored through the sewer line on Jefferson, east of 9th, causing issues. The sewer line will be repaired and Alliant will be relocating the gas line.

HydroKlean will be in the city beginning Monday to televise more sewer lines in the city.
