Washington Baseball Plays Three Games at Durant Today

The Washington Demon baseball team will play a JV game and then a Varsity double header today.

Washington is coming off a week of losses and is looking to get back on the path to winning today. The Demons are 6-8 this year after last night’s 11-0 loss to Benton Community.

Washington was hitting .253 as a team with the stats from when they were 6-4.

Durant is 10-4 this year and is hitting .316 as a team. Their leading batter is Justin Shaffer with a .462 average and 20 RBI’s with six homeruns.

Pitching wise they are throwing a team ERA of just 1.90 and have 134 K’s, their best arm is Shaffer as well, throwing 45 innings and having an 8-0 record. He has a .31 ERA with 93 strikeouts and opponents hit just .069 off of him.

Washington and Durant will square off today in Durant with the first varsity game starting at noon.
