Communications results:

The Washington County 4-H Communications Night was held on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at the Washington County Fairgrounds. Fifty 4-H’ers gave educational presentations and seven participated in the extemporaneous speaking division.

Junior Winners
Lucas Kitchen of the Go-Getters 4-H Club received the Judge’s Choice Junior Presentation trophy from the Noon Kiwanis. Shae Lynn Becker of the 76 Progressives and Nate Lamansky of the Good Luck 4-H Club will represent Washington County at the State Fair for junior presentations.

Intermediate Winners

Washington County 4-H will send three intermediate 4-Hers to the State Fair. Katie Palmer and Hannah Van Roekel are from the Limecreek Limelights and Amanda Pfeifer of the Riverside Enterprisers. Van Roekel also received the Judge’s Choice trophy from Noon Kiwanis and VISA bank card from Federation Bank.

Senior Educational Presentation
Senior 4-Hers who competed with Educational Presentations include Megan Miller, Kaitlin Hora, Macy Marek, Lauren Carter, Spencer Becker, Maddie Hora, Logan Moeller, Jayse Horning, Mitchell Hora, John Burns, and Jonah Van Roekel. Megan Miller of the Riverside Ramblers earned the Judge’s Choice trophy and will represent Washington County at the State Fair with her presentation on Growing Giant Pumpkins.

Senior Extemporaneous Speaking
Lexi Marek and Maddie Hora of the Jackson Jets were selected to represent Washington in the Extemporaneous Speaking. Other senior participants included Lauren Carter, Mitchell Hora, Jonah Van Roekel, Kaitlin Hora and Macy Marek. Kaitlin Hora was selected as alternate
