Area 4-Her Serves On State Council

The last evening of State Conference included a formal dinner, program and dance. A Washington County 4-H’er was recently selected to the 2012-2013 State 4-H Council, which created the 4-H Youth Conference programming. Lauren Carter, a senior 4-Her of the Jackson Jets Club was selected. In total, Washington County sent a local, record-breaking 15 youth to the annual event in Ames in late June, where 800 students from across the state gather for workshops, service projects, a banquet and many other activities. A booth will be at the Washington County Fair next week highlighting this year’s State Conference.
