Friday afternoon 20 year old Johnatan Sanchez of Washington was found guilty of four counts of robbery in the first degree and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm in connection with the robbery of four teenage boys on March 9th, 2013 in Washington. Following the verdict Sanchez was taken into custody at the Washington County Jail by the Washington County Sheriff’s department. Due to the nature of the offenses, Sanchez is not eligible for bond pending his sentencing which is set for 10AM, October 25th. Robbery in the first degree is a class B felony, being a felon in possession of a firearm is a class D felony.
The minimum amount of prison time that Sanchez may serve is 25 years. He would be eligible for parole after 17.5 years. The maximum amount of time Sanchez may be sentenced to is 105 years. He would be eligible for parole after 70 years.
