The Washington baseball team will play their final southeast conference double header tonight when they host Keokuk.

Washington dropped two games last night to Ft. Madison to fall to 10-17 on the season.

The Demons come into the game hitting .243 with104 runs on the year. Jacob Green continues to be the best and only bat over .300 with a .313 average and 20 RBI’s, with Walker Breard close behind with a .297 and six homeruns.

The pitching staff is one of seven arms with two eighth graders being thrown into the mix along with the top arm of Elijah Wood and his 1.51 ERA and 62 strikeouts.

Keokuk is 11-20 this year and hitting .286, their top bat is Dakota Shaw with a .395 and 26 RBI’s with three homeruns, behind him is Brandt Ames with a .384, 30 RBI’s and two homeruns. On the mound for the Chiefs Shaw is the top arm with a 2-4 record, 3.28 ERA and opponents are hitting .244 off of him.

Washington swept Keokuk earlier in the season, and outscored them 11-3.
