Three engineering service agreements were approved by the Washington City Council this week. One of the agreements is for a sewer separation study, in which engineering firm Veenstra and Kimm, Incorportated, will develop the scope of the project and cost to eliminate cross connections. The four areas that will be studied are: West Washington Street from South B Avenue to South D Avenue, the drain and sewer area east of the courthouse, East 7th Street from North 4th Avenue to North 6th Avenue, and East Taylor Street from South 9th Avenue to South 12th Avenue. According to the agreement, the draft concepts and project scopes will be presented to the City by August 16th.
