Following an ethical complaint filed against Washington County Attorney, Larry Brock, he has notified the supervisors that he and his office will no longer be able to provide legal advice to any department that is not headed by an independently elected official. Chairman Ron Bennett explained at yesterday’s supervisors’ meeting that the complaint was made by attorney Barbara Edmondson and supervisors Jack Seward and Bob Yoder, to the attorney disciplinary board regarding the criminal charges filed against them for their alleged violations of the campaign ethics and disclosure laws. Bennett states that the board has been contacting state officials with various questions regarding the situation.
