A state agency awarded $52 million in grants this week. This round of Community Development Block Grants from the  Iowa Economic Development Authority went to housing projects. Mt Pleasant was one of 19 communities to receive funds. Lowe Holdings LLC plans to build seven upper-story apartments in Mt Pleasant with help from their $455,000 grant.
