The Winfield-Mt.Union Wolves will play Highland in conference baseball tonight.

WMU is coming off a rough week, after losing to Lone Tree 10-0 in five innings and then losing to IMS later in the week 16-1.

WMU head coach Kenton Klopfenstein said he was not happy with how his team performed last week, but knows that his team can compete with anyone as long as they believe it.

“I guess I try and keep reminding them that we haven’t played our best baseball yet, and the times that we have played well, we’ve been able to compete with whoever we’ve played against, and I try and keep emphasizing that point that we’ve got the ability to compete with teams, and to try and keep moving forward that way,” Klopfenstein said.

Highland is on the other end of the spectrum, winning big last week, beating IMS 3-2, falling to B-G-M, but then beating their final two opponents of the week by a combined scored of 30-2.

Both teams are looking for a win with the conference season wrapping up and districts starting next Saturday.

This game tonight will at WMU starting at 7:30.
