A Kalona man faces a felony charge for threatening a county road crew on Monday. 78-year-old Leo L. Schrock was arrested at around 11am, after pulling a gun on Johnson County Secondary Roads employees working near his home in rural Kalona.

According to Detective Doug Gwynn, Schrock initially came out of his home to request they leave, despite the fact they weren’t on his property. When he was unsatisfied with their response, he retrieved the weapon from inside his home.

Schrock posted $5,000 bail yesterday at the Johnson County Jail. He’s charged with Going Armed With Intent, a class D felony.
