The purchase of a new vehicle has the okay from the Kalona City Council. Mayor Ken Herington says they’re trading in a 1998 truck with high miles for a 2013 Chevrolet pickup at Gretter Autoland in Washington. He says it will be used by city staff for general use. The cost is around $15,000, after the trade-in.
