The installation of Keota High School’s new gym floor is nearly complete. According to Jerry Sheetz, with the Keota Booster Club, it took them one weekend to pull out the old floor. He says they kept center court, the free throw lanes, and the Keota Eagles logos intact to be auctioned off later. The rest of the old floor will be remade into things like beanbag toss boards and plaques to be offered to alumni.

Proceeds from the auction and other items will help pay for the project, which is being funded by the Booster Club and a Washington County Riverboat grant.

The floor should be done in time for a volleyball tournament scheduled for late next month.
