The person fatally hit by a train in Fairfield Saturday evening has been identified. According to the Fairfield Police Department, 29-year-old Serenity Stone of Fairfield was walking along the tracks at the time of the accident. No foul play is suspected. The accident did not occur near an intersection or in a Quiet Zone, areas where railroads are directed to not sound their horns.
