New legislation regarding schools in Iowa was discussed at Wednesday’s Washington School Board meeting, particularly the sharing agreements. Superintendent Dr. Mike Jorgenson says that due to the new legislation which allows a new sharing period of 2013 to 2019, the sharing agreements with Highland and WACO will continue. He also said that these agreements bring in approximately a quarter of a million dollars to the Washington School district annually for the next five years.
